Senior Systems Test Engineer, Leicester, up to £42,000

I am working in partnership with a world-renowned, industry leading security solutions provider. Within this part of the company, you will be working on intriguing projects in conjunction with Ministry of Justice departments across the globe in designing robust, cutting-edge wireless security products which contribute to securing and protecting people, premises and valuables.

We are looking for an ambitious and talented Senior System’s Test Engineer to lead and manage the tasks carried within the product test team.

Role Responsibilities

  • Review Project Requirements (in all forms) and design tests ensuring traceability.
    1. Review Test artefacts produced by the test team and provide constructive feedback
      1. Execute tests and record results in logical manner with supporting evidence.
        1. Produce and archive Test Results / Test Completion reports once testing is complete.

        2. Provide weekly status report to the Head of Test and QA

        3. Ensure that all products tested meet their requirements and work well for end users.

        4. Report any defects / bugs / issues uncovered during testing

            5. Key Skills that are essential to be at the right level for this role:

          1. Excellent Team leadership skills
          2. ISEB Foundation Cert or ISTQB ideally
          3. Strong background in Engineering / IT software environment
          4. Ability to write Detailed Test Plans and Test Completion Reports

              5. Desirable skills:

            1. Programming Skills
            2. Security Testing
            3. Performance Testing
            4. Test Automation

              5. Salary/Benefits:

            5. Up to £42,000 dependant on knowledge
            6. Generous Pension Scheme
            7. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
            8. Reasonable flexibility with working hours
