To take a lead role in product development. This role is predominantly a design-based role.
3D Modelling (Solid Edge).
Mechanical Design.
Conceptual design of products.
Production of design documentation and review of design documentation produced by other.
Monitor and evaluate novel materials and the latest technologies.
Knowledge of wiring, cable harnesses and wiring diagrams.
Stress Analysis.
Thermal awareness and analysis (modelling desirable)
Full product lifecycle knowledge and experience.
EMC
Working in the Electrical and Electronic, Defence, Aerospace, Broadcast or Telecommunications sectors.

The role of Principle Product Design Engineer is to take a lead role in product development and to motivate and mentor the Product Design team.
