Service Technician, Rugby, up to £27,000
We are currently looking to add a Service Technician for our client’s team. The company focuses on enabling safe, secure, and efficient environments for patients and caregivers through the utilisation of technology. The company brings a global network of manufacturing and quality, engineering to the forefront of the medical industry.
The Service Technician will be reporting to the Software & Professional Services Director.
This role requires extensive travel across the UK.
The Function
Responsible for installing, configuring and performing of maintenance (on-site support) for software and hardware solutions managing multiple concurrent implementations.
The Role
Work with Project Specialist and team to understand required job planning and execute according to plans provided.
Implement project solutions by way of configuring systems and solutions after hardware installation has occurred.
Provide support for customers in the form of on-site service calls/visits to fix and repair breakdowns, system faults and perform troubleshooting for hardware, software, networking, databases and firewalls.
Conduct scheduled maintenance for our solutions on – site at customers.
Help project specialists redefine internal processes to ensure solid workflow from Order Receipt to Solution Delivery.
Keep up to day with latest monitoring technology and trends and seeks innovative solutions to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
Provide out of hours (on-call) support to customers.
Provide hardware and software training on our solutions to customers.
Desirable Requirements
Background as Service/Customer Support Technician in a technical environment working with software and hardware.
Technical and mechanical aptitude – IIS, SQL, HTML, Windows, Servers, networking) and mechanical hardware
Excellent communication, presentation, time management and listening skills
Detail orientated with excellent problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in electronics, mechanical or technology related subject.
