Scope of work:
The scope of work is within the Markets Certification team in Technical Conformity. The work requires practical delivery and strategic planning of current and future certification projects to support vehicle homologation, import & registration.
Key Deliverables:
- Working across all of the upcoming company projects and be required to provide consultancy service to the relevant departments and wider Group brands.
- Writing self-certification reports for assigned countries for all Company products in support of Whole Vehicle Type Approval.
- Working on PHEV standards for self-certification markets.
- Delivery of approval documentation for assigned countries for all Company products in support of Whole Vehicle Type Approval.
- Monitoring, tracking and reporting completion of self-certification reports from other functional areas
- Providing an advisory service to the system owners and Certification engineers to achieve compliant designs through their expert theoretical and practical legislation awareness and detailed understanding of assigned market regions.
- Providing an advisory service to sales and marketing regional teams to ensure that all required approvals are obtained in a timely manner in accordance with the company Business plans & targets.
- Undertaking Legislation investigations and ensure that legislation is understood, communicated and tracked as necessary.
- Provide consultancy service on the actions, as necessary, to support resolution of legislation/ homologation issues to support the successful import of Bentley products to the Regions.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience of dealing with certification / homologation.
- Experience or understanding of homologation according to FMVSS/ Gulf regulations is desirable.
- PHEV specialist knowledge is desirable.
- The candidate needs to have an eye for detail and a structured approach to work.
- Ability to communicate at various levels across the company in different forums.
- Ability to solve problems.
- A broad understanding of conventional gasoline powertrains and also hybrid and electric technologies is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
