Principle Electrical and Electronic Design Engineer, Wilmslow (Hybrid Remote), up to £60k
Do you want to develop cutting edge electronic designs for an industry leading electronics development team?
Working within the electrical and electronics engineering team, you will be responsible for developing new concepts and taking them forward through design, verification, and commercialisation of critical analogue sub-systems that enable our industry leading Mass Spectrometry products.
In return, we will provide intricate engineering work that is extremely interesting and technically challenging. Our focus is on the development, design and support of electronic systems and sub-systems for our current and next generation Mass Spectrometers that are sustainable in the future.
Producing our products is a team effort and provides lots of variety, requiring us to collaborate with all disciplines in a product’s lifecycle. We support each other and have a wealth of knowledge in the team. We offer all of this in a supportive learning environment with the opportunity for you to share your knowledge and learn from others.
Main responsibilities:
You will be involved in electronic design and development activities in support of new and existing products. You will also be responsible for the test and integration of your work from research supporting prototypes to final product release and at Waters, we have excellent product development facilities to support this. In addition, as one of our Lead Engineers you will also:
Skills required:
- Strong background with Analogue Design
- Capable and willing to understand the wider system application. Enabling you to create solutions at the system/subsystem level
- Full lifecycle development
- Strong Team Leading background
Desirable but NOT essential:
- Background with Mass Spectrometry is not essential, but would be a bonus.
- Worked in a mature process-oriented development environment.
