Role: Remote C++ Software Engineer
Type: Contract
Location: Remote (monthly visits to HQ in York expected for 1 day)
Daily Rate: £400 – £550pd dependent on experience
IR35: Inside
Duration: 6-Months
Essential Skills: C++ coding experience, python scripting, C++ coding guidelines knowledge (MISRA, CERT), compiler and build system experience on Windows and Linux

I am working with an industry-leading automotive software company, working on developing and evolving autonomous driving solutions. Having won a new project, they are in need of multiple contractors with a background in application level C++ software.

As a C++ Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

– Analysing findings/warnings to identify false positives and discuss improvements as well as new features with the vendors

– Unit testing

– Testing, releasing and deploying new tools and new tool versions taking into account ISO 26262 classification and qualification

– Implementing APIs, scripts and plug-ins for integrating the tools into e.g. CI-Pipelines or IDE

Essential

– C++ coding skills

– Python scripting

– Knowledge of state-of-the-art software development technologies and methods especially for unit verification

– Knowledge of C++ coding guidelines such as MISRA, CERT, etc

– Knowledge of ISO 26262 standard

Desirable

– Automotive experience
– Experience with compilers and build System on Windows and Linux
– Experience with linux packaging & windows installer
