Rate: £35-£45 per hour PAYE
Duration: 6-Months
Essential Skills: Linear static, nonlinear/elasto-plastic analysis experience ; Fatigue (HCF & LCF) analysis experience ; modal, shock, harmonic, random vibration & crack growth analysis experience ; ANSYS FEA experience
One of our aerospace clients, based in Yeovil, is looking to hire a Stress Analysis / Heat Transfer engineer to join their Mechanical division on a 6-month contract basis.
The successful Stress Analysis / Heat Transfer Engineer will be responsible for:
- Stress analysis activities using finite element methods and book/hand calculations
- Performing heat transfer analysis (analytical correlations and complex finite element methods) and related topics in thermodynamics, single and multi-phase flows, and energy systems)
- Requirements validation
- Root cause and corrective actions
The successful Stress Analysis / Heat Transfer Engineer will be responsible for:
- Degree or similar in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or closely related subject that involves heat transfer, thermal sciences or stress analysis)
- Experience of linear static, nonlinear/elasto-plastic, fatigue (HCF & LCF), modal, shock, harmonic, random vibration, & crack growth analyses
- FEA experience using ANSYS (or similar) & hand calculation skills
